Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 17, 2025
Our Commitment to Privacy
We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our AI-powered equine breeding insight platform (the "Service"), how we use and protect that information, and your rights. We serve users globally and aim to comply with privacy laws in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and beyond.
Information We Collect
Contact Information
When you purchase a pedigree analysis report, we collect your email address (and optionally your name) to send your report and communicate about your order. We do not require account creation—each transaction is one-time.
Payment Information
We do not collect or store your credit card or banking details. Payments are processed by Stripe, our secure third-party payment provider. Stripe uses tokenization, meaning we never see your full card number—just basic payment confirmation and your email.
Uploaded Files and Horse Data
To generate reports (like Trait Analyzer or Compatibility Match), you may upload horse pedigree files or enter data. We treat all uploaded content as confidential and use it solely to produce your requested analysis.
Usage Data
When you use our site, we may receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, or operating system. This data is used for security, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention. We do not profile users or use cookies for advertising—only for essential site functions.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service: We use your horse data to generate your AI-powered report, and your email to deliver it.
- To process payments: Your payment is securely handled via Stripe.
- To communicate with you: We may email receipts, reports, or support responses. No marketing emails unless you opt in.
- To improve the Service: We may analyze anonymized data to improve our AI models. We do not share or publicly use identifiable horse or user data without consent.
Data Storage and Security
- Cloud storage: Uploaded files and generated reports are securely stored using AWS S3, with encryption at rest and in transit.
- No permanent personal database: We store only what's needed to fulfill your order. No user accounts or profiles are maintained.
- Payment security: Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant; your card data never touches our servers.
- Access control: Only authorized systems and personnel (if any) have access to your data, and all are bound by confidentiality.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or horse data for marketing purposes.
We may share information only with:
- Stripe: To process your payment securely.
- AWS: To store and retrieve your report data.
- Email services: To deliver your report and support communications.
- Authorities: If legally required, or to investigate fraud or misuse.
If our business is ever sold or transferred, user data may be included in the transaction—but will remain protected under this Privacy Policy.
We will never share your data with others without your explicit consent.
International Data Transfers
We may store and process your data in Canada, the U.S., or other countries. For users in the EU/UK, we ensure compliance through:
- Hosting in compliant regions when feasible (e.g., EU servers).
- Use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other safeguards for lawful transfers.
By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and handling of your data as outlined.
Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary to deliver your report and meet basic operational or legal needs:
- Horse data & reports: Stored temporarily (usually days or weeks), then deleted or anonymized.
- Emails: Retained for support and record-keeping, purged periodically.
- Payment records: Retained as required by tax or legal regulations.
- Logs and analytics: Retained short-term for security, long-term only in anonymous form.
By request: You can request data deletion at any time (see below).
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access or correct your data
- Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw consent
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive a portable copy of your data
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@breedingadvisor.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
Children's Privacy
This Service is not intended for children under 16 (or under 13 in some jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly enter into transactions with minors. If we learn that a child has submitted personal data without proper consent, we will delete it promptly.
All transactions require a payment method, which implies adult participation. Reports are created for adults or for minors only under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or guardian.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted data, please contact us at info@breedingadvisor.com.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a clear notice on the site.
Your continued use of the Service means you accept any updated terms.
